Mr.
McCormick has provided administrative consulting services in the
medical instrument and device industry since 1996. His experience is
focused in early stage companies, providing clients with strategic
consultation and capital management systems. Mr. McCormick was
responsible for all financial and administrative functions at Situs
(previously UROS Inc.) before and after venture capital funding. He
supported a 1997 audit of 1994/5/6 fiscal years after Situs received
$3M of venture capital. Situs specialized in the design and manufacture
of intravessical infusion devices and cryogenic ablation devices with
enhanced ultrasonic imaging.
Mr. McCormick
also has 25 years experience in the fire service that
includes operational and management responsibilities. He has helped the
San Diego Fire Department plan and implement several innovative
emergency medical programs, including the first major metropolitan fire
service Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) defibrillation program
(1985). From 1994 to 1996 he was the director of Emergency Medical
Service (EMS) and managed all EMS activities with a budget of $4.8M and
supported 85 field paramedic/firefighters for the City of San Diego
Fire Department. These paramedic/firefighters provided advanced life
support (ALS) service to the 1.4M people in the City of San Diego by
responding to 60,000 emergency incidents annually.
Mr. McCormick was elected to the Board of Directors of the
San Diego
Firefighters Federal Credit Union ($62 million in assets) in 1998. He
is currently the Vice Chairperson of the financial institution.
Previously he was the Treasurer and the Chair of the Assets and
Liabilities Committee (ALCO). ALCO oversees the operational
performance, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance of the
credit union. Mr. McCormick earned his MBA and a BA in Mathematics from
San Diego
State University (SDSU).
